Star WaitersStar Waiters grew from Make-A-Wish of Idaho Foundation wish kid Mitch Kohler. The Boise 6th grader wished to be a movie producer and make a Star Wars Fan Film. The 35 minute movie (and an 8 minute long Behind-The-Scenes documentary) tell the much bigger story of movie-making dreams, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the support of the Treasure Valley community.

Luke Piewalker's family’s temporary tattoo parlor is destroyed by the evil Darth Waiter and he must avenge the loss with a healthy food showdown, and the epic struggle between the power of the fork and the dark chocolate side. Beware of the chocolate-powered Dark Bar and Grill!

The wish granters for this project were Eran Hogan & Riverstone International School students in their community service One Stone club. Star WaitersAcademy Award-winner Ben Shedd was invited in to mentor the production as a Riverstone parent, and as the project grew, the larger Treasure Valley community - filmmakers and businesses of all sorts - volunteered to join in. Lucasfilm, Ltd. donated the use of the STAR WARS music and sound effects to Make-A-Wish, as did Sister Sledge with their song "We are FAM-i-lee" for the final dance.
