Barbara RobinsonGovernment Grants for Idaho Filmmakers:
Follow the Money Trail

Barbara Robinson, the Artist Services Director for the Idaho Commission on the Arts, will conduct a discussion/seminar during the Festival to talk about grants and awards that are currently available for artists, filmmakers, and videographers in Idaho as well as additional services.

Workshop will be held in the Flicks' upstairs Conference Room.

Brandon HullBehind the Green Screen

Brandon L. Hull, Studio Corp Producer/Director (and indie filmmaker) will tour registrants through the magic of visual effects composition using the Green Screen at The Studio Corp. Gain a basic understanding of the different processes of multi-element editing techniques, animation principles and the digital realm. This workshop is geared for all ages and technical skill levels.

Location: The Studio Corp. 1522 W River St. Boise, Idaho 83702 (on the corner of River and Americana)

When: Saturday, September 27th at 11:45am - 1:45pm

Length: Two Hours

Target Audience: Teens and young adults ages 10-20


Low / No Budget Filmmaking

A workshop for low-no/budget filmmakers and actors centered around three examples of excellent American indie filmmaking, featuring Blake Eckard’s SINNER COME HOME, and Jon Jost’s HOMECOMING and OVER HERE, Ryan Harper Gray, star of all three movies and director Eckard as well as Steve Taylor will be using their work as a basis for the discussion.

Location: Regal Cinema in theatre where films will be shown
