“Andrew Ellis and I have a history with the Idaho International Film Festival going back to their first year with the showing of our
first ‘big’ public short, Pizza Man vs. The Dude - which cost us roughly $24 bucks to make: my how things have
changed.” - Writer Will Schmeckpeper
A triumph of DIY cinema, Andrew and Will filmed their black-comedy in 6 days at locations in Boise, Garden City, Nampa, and Kuna
with an all-volunteer cast and crew of over 50 individuals for a total budget of $498.00. Now that’s indie!
Mr. Jericho—boss of the local Boise mafia—has a problem: the books aren’t adding up. Jericho hires a professional assassin, Jack,
from Chicago to deal with the three underlings who are the presumed source of the financial discrepancies. As Jack tracks down the
culprits, the real story of what’s wrong in Boise comes to light.

Miller Time is the result of a local ‘Directors’ Challenge’: different filmmakers were given
the same script and a month to produce it. This is one of those films. It’s also written by Will Schmeckpeper – and the other
completed version of Miller Time was directed by Andrew Ellis, the director of our feature presentation. It is a
small pond. |
