This is what film festivals are all about: we are pleased to present the World Premiere of a local movie made by three students for $4,000 dollars.
How is that for dedication and frugality?
Surface Tension is an ambitious local horror feature (that some of you may have read about in the University of Idaho student paper), and is a
great exercise in no-budget filmmaking. Come check it out and stay around for the Q&A afterward - it’s guaranteed to be revealing.
When Sarah Barclay, a university student, is assigned to research a local ghost story for her paranormal psychology class, she faces terrors and
obstacles ranging from bizarre coincidences, seemingly supernatural experiences, and she soon begins to think that even her closest friends may be fiends.

As her obsession with the truth washes away the ties to her friends, lover and sanity, she embarks on a quest to uncover the horrifying secrets of the
past, and discovers even more shocking truths about herself.
This film contains violence and coarse language and has a self-administered R-equivalent rating.
